Answer 1 :
Financially impossible.
Answer 2 :
To get the money for college, they would probably have to sign up a thing for FAFSA and get pell grants. If they are homeless, I'm guessing they have no income or very little, and if that's the case, they would probably get the money from FAFSA
Answer 3 :
Have them get as cleaned up as possible and then go talk to an admissions counselor on campus to get advice on applications, requirements, scholarships and financial aid. I think most people would be glad to help anyone trying to better their life.
Answer 4 :
It's not impossible. Since I'm assuming you don't have a lot of money saved up, this will be in your favor. I know in Wisconsin if you claim yourself as dependent (you support yourself alone) you can get a lot of money from the government to attend school. My boyfriend claimed himself as dependent, and got a bunch of grants and free loans (the kind you don't have to pay back) to be able to go to college. Like said above, filling out a FAFSA form will help determine what kinds of money you'll be able to get :) Good luck!
Answer 5 :
There are lots of options. But I would be concerned as to why they are homeless. Many are homeless because of a disability. If so, they might be eligible for social security. Otherwise they can get social security if they are working but don't make enough. Once they are on social security they will probably be eligible for assistance to get a home and/or free job training. There are many programs to help homeless people. But yes, they can go to college. They will need a mailing address (probably the shelter or a church). Once they get accepted they can take scholarships and loans just like anyone else. They will qualify for government loans, but maybe not for private loans. In that case a state school would be best because they generally cost less, so the federal financial aid would cover it. If the person is a veteran, they need to look into vocational rehabilitation and other programs geared toward veterans. It can make a big difference.
Answer 6 :
I was once homeless for six months. Slept in my car most of the time. I had no money, but was determined to change my life. I went to ASU and spoke with a counselor. The counselor was able to help me fill out all of the paperwork for financial aide. I was enrolled in less than two months. There are plenty of opportunities, many people do not know about. Please go down to the campus and let the financial aide and counselors help you before it is too late. I found a part time job while i was enrolled in school. YOU CAN DO IT, GO FOR IT
