University of Maryland-College Park or Arizona State University

University of Maryland-College Park or Arizona State University?
I have been accepted to both schools, and am having a tough time deciding which to attend. University of Maryland definitely has a better academic reputation, but I'm a little worried about the area outside of the school and the social scene. ASU on the other hand has a great social/party scene and nice town. Any opinions or Info about either school??

Answer 1 :
ASU has a great campus. Just overall, it is a bit of a party school, but it's a nice place. ASU is like a 7/ 10. For me anyways.
Answer 2 :
Maryland̢۪s Greek Life is big but ASU is the one that one got listed by Playboy as one of the top party schools. I suggest that you log on to the Unigo.com links below to find out about the social scene and the towns in which they are located from the students themselves. You will find other useful information on Unigo.com̢۪s Maryland and ASU webpages. Good luck. http://www.unigo.com/university_of_maryland%2c_college_park/ http://www.unigo.com/arizona_state_university/

Transferring college credits Arizona State University

Transferring college credits Arizona State University?
Ok, so I am going to be doing an online Criminal Justice program through Arizona State University. I will be transferring credits from a community college (my AA is in Administration of Justice). About 7 of the required classes (21 credits) for my AA are also required for my BS. I know for a fact that all of those classes will transfer over as an equivalent of what's required for the BS. My question is, will the equivalent classes I took at the community college count both for my AA and BS? So basically would they be worth 6 credits after transfer? Or am I going to take the same class twice? I don't understand how this is supposed to work out..

Answer 1 :
You should not have to take the same class twice. Many students earn their AA enroute to a BA. So yes many classes should count towards your AA and BA. Check out assist.org to see exactly what classes will transfer and what they will count towards your BA as. If your still unsure talk to some one in advising at ASU.

I usually don't associate Princeton with journalism. However, I know which school's graduate I would hire if I had the chance -- Princeton. I'd just wonder what he was doing in journalism instead of law, business, etc.
