What college should I attend: DePaul or Arizona

What college should I attend: DePaul or Arizona?
DePaul University (Chicago) or University of Arizona I have been accepted into the journalism program at both schools! I am from Southern California and have NO idea which one is the better choice for me! I come from a small class size high school. Help! I need advice on this! I visited both campuses and loved them both! Im just a little concerned about the commuters at Depaul! Is it dead on the weekends?

i absolutely love depaul! i was considering going there, it was my second choice this year and my brother goes there =] but i chose a different school, although i believe DePaul is extremely underrated so of course i would be biased towards DPU, but for great reasons you already are aware of i'm from socal too, san diego, and i loved being in the city of chicago. the weather is very tolerable, plus you get from mid-november to early january winter break, so you miss a lot of the extreme coldness =] there's so many activities you can get into both affiliated with the school and the city independently. since you've already been, then you've noticed the abundance of yummy restaurants and fabulous shopping lol the transportation system is so convenient and the class sizes are very personal, about 12:1 student to staff and the professors are teaching-oriented rather than independent research oriented. plus, depaul is known for having immediate internships available in chicago right after graduation....some undergrad. graduates i knew was able to get internships in the city 2 weeks after graduation =] and seeing as journalism is your forte, you will be offered wonderful opportunities my brother was completely a california boy and not very social, but he absolutely LOVES it over there, he says no one would have ever imagined how fun it is at DePaul, even for the most conservative and quietest student. k, i'll stop rambling now, but i would say go to DePaul! go Blue Demons!

I've been to Chicago, and I've been to Tucson. Lets weigh the options. Nightlife: Chicago has been voted as one of best cities in nightlife by Askmen.com Tucson has practically no nightlife, but a few miles down the road you have Nogales, Mexico with plenty of nightlife. Additionally, about an hour to to the west of Tucson you have Scottsdale/Phoenix with a booming nightlife *winner Chicago* Cost of living: Chicago being a big city, the cost of living will be greater. Tucson being a suburban setting is much cheaper and is close to mexico. *winner Tucson* Scenery:While Chicago has beautiful buildings and statues and stuff,Tucson has the small town charm and the beauty of the southwest. *winner Tie* Tuition cost: DePaul University has an out of state Tuition cost of almost 30,000. Arizona has an out of state tuition cost of 18,000. *winner U of A* Journalism school rankings: Chicago is not ranked in the top 30 Arizona is ranked inside the top 25. *winner U of A* Best looking student body: Depaul was not ranked. Arizona was ranked in the top best looking student bodies in the nation, by popcrunch.com and many other websites. *winner U of A* Sports programs: DePaul has mediocre athletics, only good in Basketball and Softball. U of A consistently has many athletics in contention for national championships from, Basketball, Baseball, Softball,Golf, and many other sports. *winner U of A* Things to do: obvious choice *winner chicago* Weather: Chicago=windy city Tucson=sun year round=guys shirtless girls in bikinis :) winner by landslide *Tucson* and most importantly..... Spring break destination. DePaul has not spring break destination worth noting, U of A has many spring break destination within a 2 hour radius, Lave Havasu and Rocky Point which get pretty crazy. Winner * U of A* The final tally 6 to 2. I would say go to University of Arizona that's just my opinion, you'll have a better experience, have more fun, and end up with more cash in your pockets. Hope this helps. Have fun at college.
Answer 3 :
I go to DePaul and I can tell you it is NOT dead on the weekends! A lot of the people who make up the commuter population live off campus close to the school. I live downtown in the University Center and there are 2 other schools that have housing there as well so there are always people around to have fun with. I know on the Lincoln Park campus there are tons of people and there is a lot of nightlife(also everyone knows which bars don't care about fake ids!). DePaul is a huge school, but I don't know about Arizona. I'm an International Studies major so I don't know anything about the journalism program, but I can tell you the experience is either a love or hate one. The academic year is set up in quarters so you are only in the same classes for 10 weeks at a time. I like it because it gives you variety in the classes you get to pick. Chicago is also a great city and provides a lot of stuff to do outside of school. Good luck! :)

What is a benefit for the Governor of Arizona to close down a community college

What is a benefit for the Governor of Arizona to close down a community college?
What is a benefit? What are some disadvantages for the Native americans who attend? The college is privately funded I believe by the Navajo tribe.

Answer 1 :
Wow, are you suggesting that a politician is actually employing the cost/benefit equation in spending taxpayer money? That rarely happens. Leftists demand we look only at benefits and not costs, which is why we get nonsense like ObamaCare.
Answer 2 :
I don't know anything about this story. However I can assume it will further disenfranchise Native's educational opportunities, however since they are a small minority that would never vote for this Governor... she could care less. It will net her the yokel vote... you know people who hate "coloreds".
