Best colleges near arizona to get prepared for medical school?
Where in Arizona or the states near arizona have a good college to get prepared for medical school?

University of New Mexico Albuquerque NM ASU.. Arizona State University....

You can get into med school from any college. U of AZ is the highest ranked one (the Wildcats). If you shoot West, you're in SoCal, where there are a ton of good schools.

Did anyone go to college orientation recently? Anybody go to the orientation at Northern Arizona University
Did anyone go to college orientation recently? Anybody go to the orientation at Northern Arizona University?
I'd like to hear about NAU's if possible, but not many people know of it. How was your orientation? What did you do? Where did you stay? How did you get to know people? Who did you spend your time w/ at orientation, especially if you didn't go with parents? I'm going to the orientation next week. They've got different dates.

hey i know it might not be of use but it is on the 28th. I heard that it is fun and my brother is going alone w/o any parents to the NAU orientation.

its an okay school.. they were really friendly.. the campus is HUGE! and we toured some buildings and walked around in a group hope i helped

Hi I'm Orion. I attended the May 28th-29th orientation and I've got to say it was a blast. The 1st day the first thing that happens is you check in and get a few supplies like an NAU waterbottle (water is imperative b/c of the higher elevation), a backpack with information packets inside, and a summer reading book. Then you get your key to the dorm in Sechrist hall where you will be staying with 1 other person. The fun part comes when you actually split into your randomly selected groups and play a few "get to know each other" games. Don't be shy and just introduce yourself, and ask some basic questions, and then you're bound to get into a conversation and make new friends. Ha that's what I did and I already made a few! I didn't attend with parents so basically you are with your assigned group most of the time until you split into "breakout sessions" where you get informed on certain things like intramural sports, financial aid, or specifics on your major. Also there's a dance at the end of the 1st night. My favorite part of the orientation was the True Life play by the orientation leaders who did a splendid job and made it funny while addressing serious matters such as sex, drinking, and safety. Will I still have residency in for college in Arizona
Will I still have residency in for college in Arizona?
I am from Arizona, graduated high school there in 09. I attended ASU for 1 year and due to some personal issues I had moved out to California in August '10. I've been attending a Community College out here (just 1, spring, semester). Will I still have residency if I moved back to Arizona and went to a CC? Also will I still have residency if I get a job and work in California until then(moving back june/july of this year)? Thanks in advanced! Please only serious and 100% true answers :)

From information about in-state tuition/residency for the Univ. of Arizona: "In general Arizona domicile occurs when a financially independent person has been physically present in Arizona for at least a year with the clear and convincing intention of making Arizona their permanent home beyond the circumstance of their being a student.' http://registrar.arizona.edu/Residency/residenc.htm For the best information you seek regarding Arizona residency for the community college you would like to attend, I suggest you telephone the community college and ask your question of an Admissions Counselor (Admissions Office.) Generally, from info I've seen on some Ariz. community college web pages about residency, if you wish to move back to Arizona and work and live there for a full 12 months before applying for admission to a community college in Ariz. you will be considered a resident. If you live & work in Ariz. for less than 12 months prior to applying for community college admissions, you will not be considered a resident. Best wishes

Bit confused by this question. Do you mean in state student and out of state because if thats the case you would be considered an out of state student for living out in California. You would have to live in Arizona for 12 months and need documentation to prove your residency. http://students.asu.edu/residencyreclassificationsurvey
