If Ohio State, Boston College, and Arizona State all lose, should Kansas and Hawaii be 1-2?
Ohio State will play their first quality opponent this week, playing at #25 Penn State Boston College is playing Virginia Tech on Thursday Arizona State plays a good but underachieving Cal team Kansas plays Texas A&M and Hawaii plays New Mexico State. If Kansas and Hawaii are the only remaining unbeaten teams at the end of the week don't they deserve to be 1-2 in the rankings? Can anybody but the most fanatical SEC fan put a 1 loss team ahead of an unbeaten team (of course, a few pollsters have done that the last few weeks by voting for LSU at #1 even though they have a loss)?

Answer 1 :
Hawaii shouldn't be ranked near the top 5, look and who they played AND they struggled in some of their games. Texas A&M I think will defeat Kansas, and that takes care of that.
Answer 2 :
No it should be #1 OU Sooners and #2 Alabama Crimson Tide
Answer 3 :
Hawaii is not that bad no better than a top 15 team though Kansas on the other hand should be in the top 5 or six Right now there is no one team better than the other it just depends on if they show up or not
Answer 4 :
I guess if you really wanna stretch it out and go strictly by the numbers, you can make that argument because they would be the remaining teams going undefeated. However, you have to ask yourself what the rankings mean. #1 through #5 means the top 5 teams in the country, right? OR...does it mean the top 5 best records in college football? I just can't justify putting a Hawaii team that barely eked a victory against SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY a top 10 team. They're a good team on the island but have proven time and again that they're horrible on the "mainland." Kansas could make a better argument playing in the big 12 against some more legitimate teams but still, you're talking about Central Michigan, Southeast Louisiana, Toledo, Florida International, and Baylor. Although their schedule will get more difficult in the coming weeks, they're not going to have the face the likes of Florida, LSU, Kentucky, South Carolina, etc.. The SEC fans do have a point. Do you honestly think that Hawaii and Kansas are the two best teams in the country? Ask yourself what those rankings mean...quantified or qualified?
Answer 5 :
You can't be serious. LSU should be #1 now!
Answer 6 :
Yes. And I should be the Pope.
Answer 7 :
Imagine the most annoying loudest laugh you have ever heard............thats me reading your question. I'm going to assume you are semi-smart and that you also have a wee little bit of common sense. Assuming that, could you imagine Hawaii or Kansas playin against LSU? If you pull your head our of your ase you would realize you already knew the answer to the question you asked. Be a winner, cheer for LSU! GEAUX TIGERS!
Answer 8 :
Both Kansas and Hawaii deserve rankings in the top 15, but neither team has posted an impressive victory so far. Kansas beat Colorado, but no one knows how good Colorado is (the Buffs beat Oklahoma, but almost lost to a pathetic Colorado State team). Similarly, Hawaii needed a miracle to beat San Jose State (not exactly a football powerhouse). Neither Kansas or Hawaii is Top 10 material- we'll see that as the season continues.
Answer 9 :
what about oregon for gods sake they should be number 1 right now! GO DUCKS QUACK DAMNIT!
Answer 10 :
do you really think if kansas or hawaii played schools in the sec like florida and lsu they would have a chance? im just gonna keep laughin on this one...
Answer 11 :
Kansas maybe but not Hawaii. They don't play anyone and had to go to OT to beat a lousy San Jose State team.
Answer 12 :
no
