Ok, so I am going to be doing an online Criminal Justice program through Arizona State University. I will be transferring credits from a community college (my AA is in Administration of Justice). About 7 of the required classes (21 credits) for my AA are also required for my BS. I know for a fact that all of those classes will transfer over as an equivalent of what's required for the BS. My question is, will the equivalent classes I took at the community college count both for my AA and BS? So basically would they be worth 6 credits after transfer? Or am I going to take the same class twice? I don't understand how this is supposed to work out..

Answer 1 :
You should not have to take the same class twice. Many students earn their AA enroute to a BA. So yes many classes should count towards your AA and BA. Check out assist.org to see exactly what classes will transfer and what they will count towards your BA as. If your still unsure talk to some one in advising at ASU.
